Witness
I don’t think we realize the impact our lives have on those around us as we live for Christ each day.
Tom Allan was a famous Scottish preacher who gave his heart to the Lord whilst listening to a soldier, singing, “Were you there when they crucified my Lord?” He said it was neither the song nor the soldier’s voice but the spirit in which the soldier sang.
He said there was something about his manner, something that was powerful in the sincerity of his expression. It was that which brought conviction to his heart and led him to turn his life over to Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, “You are the light of the world….Let your light so shine before (others), that they may SEE your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:14,16.
Your faith will grow stronger as you express it; a growing faith is a sharing faith. Pray now for those you know who need Jesus Christ, and ask God to help you be a witness to them – by the life you live and the words you speak.
