Daily Devotion from Pastor Keith
Today – more decisions for you to make….
As the working week commences following our gathering together at Church on Sunday, we each will be faced with decisions we will need to make as our day and week unfolds.
Some decisions will be minor, but some may affect our future in many ways – how do we make the right decision is the key we seek to know. When we make the wrong decision, the wrong choice, we are all well aware we may suffer consequences as a result.
When we face decisions, we need to remember that God has not left us on our own and in the dark. Nor is He uninterested!
No, God loves us, and He desires the best for us, and He has a perfect path in life for each of us. He wants us to choose it instead of the wrong paths thrown at us by Satan who is constantly seeking to tempt us to wander from God’s way for our life.
Even when our way may seem unclear, God gives is light to see the path to follow. He gives us His Word, the Bible – and many of our decisions would be much easier if we only knew its moral and spiritual principles.
God also gives us His wisdom (sometimes through a brother or sister in Christ) to understand our situation, and He gives us the Holy Spirit to prompt us and guide us.
One thing I have learnt now as I begin to enter my senior years walking with the Lord, never make a decision without committing it to God and seeking His will.
He promises to guide you – and He will through the coming days and week.
Choose this day whom you will serve….Joshua 24:15
