Daily devotion – Tuesday 23rd March
People are always searching for the magic elixir of life, the cure for all humanities ailments, weaknesses and failures. Many think that if they could win the “Lotto”, that would fix everything!
We find ourselves living in a world filled with conflict, discontent, and unhappiness abounds.
There is such a cure that exists! The Bibles proclaims Good News – to a world that only seems to know the bad news.
There is a cure for all of our lives, and God has provided the medicine – and that ‘medicine’ is God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ came to save us from a fallen world and troubled lives.
God replaces our sin, confusion, and disillusionment with righteousness, joy and hope. He does all this when we come before Him and call on His name, seeking His grace, forgiveness and mercy.
Our souls can know peace, a peace that is not dependent on outward circumstances.
This cure came just over 2,000 years ago when Jesus died on the cross at Calvary and then rose from the dead three days later.
When illness comes, I look forward always to its cure. Today will you call on the name of the Lord and receive the medication that God has provided just for you – His Son Jesus Christ. It’s that simple.
