2Co 8:11 Now you should finish what you started. Being forced into another lockdown, takes me back to times of feeling housebound rearing our pre-school children. At times I would feel there was so much more I could ‘do for the Lord’. I remember my inner conversation, “Lord, I want to spread your Word, bring others to salvation….” And then He whispered in my heart, “Inasmuch as you have done it unto the least of these My brethren, you have done it unto Me.” I took stock of my life and realised this was the ministry God had placed in my hands and entrusted me with. So, from that moment, every meal, every devotion with my children, I did it unto Him and found a new sense of joy. If we accept what He offers us to do and do it with love and commitment, He says ‘Even a cup of cold water will not go without reward!”
From the Pastors Desk
As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him. Psalm 103:13 As God’s children, we are His dependents. Dependent children never worry about meals, clothing, or having a bed. They assume – and they have a right to – that their parents will provide everything they need. Jesus said, Do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat? Or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?”…But seek first the Kingdom of God….and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:31, 33. Sadly, worry is an ingrained habit for most of us. But because we are God’s children, He is responsible for our keeping. That is why you should be casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you – 1 Peter 5:7. In other words, let God do the worrying! He says, I’ll take the burden – don’t give it a thought – leave it all to Me! Never forget: God is bigger than your problems. Whatever worries press upon you today, put them in God’s hands – and leave them there!
Tithes and Offerings – we provide a grace offering container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us remember that God was unsparing in His giving – Proverbs 3: 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. 10 Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.
Bless you in your giving!
Calvary Kids – Bible knowledge test:
Why did Jesus die on the Cross?
What does the bread mean in Communion?
What does the cup mean in Communion?
What are we to remember in Communion?
Once the service has commenced, especially the teaching of the Word of God, we ask that you remain seated so as not to be distraction to others during this most important time. Should you need to leave your seat the ushers on your return will direct you to a seat at the rear of the church – we thank you for helping with this!
Mother’s Day Service – Please pray for, and invite, where possible, your mum, your grandma, your step mum or anyone you call mum, to join with you and the body here at CCSH next Sunday for our special Mother’s Day service.
We will be teaching a blessed Mother’s Day message.
And we hold off our usual Sunday night service for that Mother’s Day evening, to enable you to spend some extra special time appreciating “Mum!”
We also have a little gift for the mums able to be with us next Sunday – Mother’s Day!
Hope you can join with us and celebrate the “Mums”.
Remember Today – masks!
