9th may 2021 – Mother’s Day special service – 10:00 am
No Sunday evening service for tonight only
Welcome to CCSH
Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour this morning. If you are visiting with us for the first time, please make yourself known to our ushers so that one of the Pastors can meet you.
Tonight, due to it being Mother’s Day, we won’t be having our usual 6:00pm evening service to allow for families to travel and spend more time with mums, grandmas, great grandmas and step-mums as well. We invite you to fill in our Connection Card to enable you to serve here at CCSH. You can be a blessing by serving!
Pastor’s Pen
Stephen is another one of my heroes in the Bible. And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders ad miracles among the people – Acts 6:8 In Matthew 25, Jesus taught that those who are faithful in little things will be made rulers over greater things. If we truly desire to be used by the Lord, we must be faithful in the things He gives us to do in the beginning of days of our service, of our ministry. The Scriptures tell us not to despise the days of small things – Zech. 4:10 – yet many folks find themselves reluctant to do the seemingly insignificant tasks. Some fall into the often-repeated trap of only attending Church when they are rostered to serve. This is such a tragedy and reveals a lack of love both for the Lord and for the saints. The reward for faithfulness in service is greater service. Jesus came on the scene and stated something radical when He said, Happiness is found in losing your life, in giving yourself away. Happiness is found in serving, not in being served; in giving, not in getting. – Matthew 10:39. Today, if you are feeling a little blue, perhaps it’s because you are not engaging yourself in serving others. When you feel like throwing in the towel, take up the towel instead. Wash someone’s feet and suddenly you will be refreshed! Be a Stephen today!

Helen’s Heart –
This thing is from Me – 1 Kings 12:24 – When temptation and ‘the enemy comes in like a flood’ – God allows this that our weakness sees God’s might When difficult circumstances arise, God uses it to see His power at work. Have you money difficulties, struggling to make ends meet? God wants you to depend on Him whose supplies are limitless (Phil 4:19) Are you travelling through sorrow? – ‘The Man of Sorrows and acquainted with grief’ – will comfort you and encourage you and make you strong 2 Thess 2:16. Have you been laid up in a bed of pain and weakness? – it is there for you to wield the weapon of prayer. Every circumstance, every interruption, every weakness is anointed with this learning that we see His loving hand in all things.

What Does Calvary Chapel – believe?
THE SCRIPTURES
We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error and the infallible rule of faith and practice. The Word of God is the foundation upon which the church operates and is the basis for which the church is governed. We believe that the Word of God supersedes any earthly law that is contrary to the Holy Scriptures (Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; II Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; I Peter 1:23-25; II Peter 1:3-4, 21)
