Calvary Youth 6:30 pm here at the Chapel!

This morning We welcome you as you join us today as we worship Jesus Christ our Lord. Our aim at Calvary is to teach the Word of God and be a Church led by Christ and driven by His passion for preaching the Gospel to those who do not know Him. We encourage every person who considers CCSH to be their home Church to support it by serving in some capacity, by assisting in reaching the lost and meeting the needs of the fellowship as they arise. This morning we have two exciting announcements that we pray will continue to proclaim the Gospel to the lost. One concerns overseas missions, the other, building up the men of CCSH. Last night, the CCSH Young Adults gathered for a time of fellowship and encouragement under the guidance of Pastor Marlon and Hannah Le Chat. If you would like to join them for the following months’ Young Adults gathering, please see Pastor Marlon or Hannah for further information. We are looking for someone special – who can assist with the care of our littlest saints each 2nd Tuesday as the ladies gather here at the Church. Please see Helen if you have the heart to serve
From the Pastor’s Desk – Three new studies this June, Sunday am– the Gospel of Luke, Sunday pm – The Book of Philemon with Pastor Israel, &1 Timothy with Pastor Marlon. In Luke today, we are introduced to this blessed elderly couple who I cannot wait to meet in Heaven, along with their son, John the Baptist. Zacharias was a priest who, twice a year, for one week, would serve in the Temple. His job was to pour incense upon the altar in the Holy Place. When the incense hit the hot coals, the scent would rise into Heaven, creating a sweet-smelling savour before the Lord. Sometimes we think our lives stink as we go from chaos to storm, trial to stumble, and nothing is going right. Both Zacharias and Elisabeth were in the later years of life. Elisabeth had been barren all her life, yet the Bible in Luke 6 describes this elderly godly couple as being both righteous and blameless in the things of the Lord. Faithfully all their lives, they had loved and served the Lord, walking in all the commandments! Your life can change from being on the nose to being a sweet-smelling incense unto the Lord. How? By faithfully serving the Lord and walking in all His commandments. God has the timing and a purpose to see you attain the ultimate goal for your life. Walk faithfully with God in all you do, and people will love the aroma your life brings by being around them, and the scent of your blameless and obedient life in serving God will rise to the very throne of Heaven! Dig deep into this couples lives in Luke, meditate on these Scriptures, and God’s blessing will fall!
Helen’s Heart1Pe 3:10 For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil. The Bible is a very practical book. Proverbs 18:8 speaks of gossip as “tempting morsels”. From experience we know how damaging gossip can be, friends can be easily alienated as a result of “loose lips.” James speaks of bridling the tongue. Sometimes passing on information about another has not been with evil intent but it nevertheless always causes damage, and in most cases can destroy a person’s reputation. What can we do? Psalm 34:13 tells us to keep our tongue from evil. Here is a simple guideline before we speak about someone. Is it true? Is it my business? Am I being kind? Set a watch O Lord on the door of my lips – Psalm 141:3.
Grace Offering – we provide a grace offering container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us remember that God was unsparing in His giving Proverbs 3:9 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. 10 Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine..

We ask please that during each service that there be the least amount of moving, exception being mothers called to their children in the creche, so as not to be a distraction to others worshiping our Lord and listening intently to the teaching of His Word. Should you need to leave your seat, the ushers will direct you on your return to one of the seats at the rear of the sanctuary – thank you for your cooperation.
