Before we leave the beautiful Sea of Galilee, there is one final blessing each tour must undertake. That is to board a fishing vessel and travel the waters of this spectacular location.
Wherever you look, there are sights where Jesus fed thousands, cast out demons in the location of the Gadarenes, and of course, He walked on the water upon which we are sailing.
I distinctly remember one tour when thunder was rolling across this patch of water as Pastor Israel was giving a teaching on deck. He commented that God was indeed speaking to us from the Heavens! It was an amazing experience!
As we glide quietly over these waters, it naturally leads you to a time of deep reflection and meditation. How our lives and the business of “stuff” has inhibited our time to sit in God’s presence, not asking for anything but simply enjoying His company.
Christianity is not a set of rules or regulations, far from it! No, when Christ entered our world, the Scriptures tell us, “For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2: 11.
Notice it says…unto you is born …!
Jesus came to our world to have a real relationship with us. One of the first things He promises to do when we get to be with Him in glory is to eat with Him! That’s amazing! Mar 14:25 “Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”
I am not a religious person, but I do have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Can you say the same? Do you have a relationship with He who walked upon the waters of the Galilee. I pray that you do!
