Calvary Men – July 30th at 7-8:15 pm at the church is our next men’s gathering.
From the Pastor’s Desk – Is your life stale? Is it the same routine each week, each day? Our lives dry up in passion and intensity when we run them strictly to the agenda of the world. We forget we are made in the image of God, and when we live our lives ignoring God we become spiritually and emotionally emaciated. The children of Israel were given Manna – bread from heaven, by the Lord during their wilderness wandering. But the Lord gave them implicit instructions on how it was to be gathered. Exodus 16: 19 Moses said to them, “No one is to let any of it remain until morning.” 20 But they didn’t listen to Moses; some people left part of it until morning, and it bred worms and stank. Jesus taught us that we live each day not by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. If your life is boring, if it is stale, I can guarantee you that you have neglected daily prayer or spending any time alone with God. You also will not be reading the Bible! Your life will dry up and become stale if you live like that! But I also guarantee that if you were to begin to read God’s Word each day and to pray, that your life will immediately take a turn to one of excitement and joy. Your diet of living only off what the world lays on your table will see you emaciated and dying on the vine. In addition, when you sit under God’s teaching this morning and tonight, if you come with a heart expecting God to speak to you He will. It’s time to start enjoying your life how God intended it to be!

Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us remember that God was unsparing in His giving Proverbs 3:9 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. 10 Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine..
Our Overseas Missions Field – Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Please remember to keep our missionaries in Fiji in your prayers – Pastor Charles Mareu. Please pray for the young people who are coming to their Church as they are from many different religious backgrounds. People travel to their Bible studies from some distance and very rough roads – please prayer for safe travel. There are 25 people currently living in the Church house with Pastor Charles and family.
