This Week – Next Sunday the 5th of September – is our special Father’s Day Service. Due to next Sunday being Father’s Day. This morning we have a blessed baby dedication! Last night, the Calvary Men enjoyed a blessed time of fellowship together, gathered around a magnificent bonfire. Be sure no to miss the next gathering of Calvary Men here at CCSH. If you cannot make a service here at CCSH, we encourage you to utilise our live streaming service and recorded sermons available on our web page ccsh.com.au. We encourage you to keep up with the teaching program of CCSH as we journey through the Bible together. We are currently in the following books – Luke, Ruth, 1 Timothy and Ephesians. Be sure to receive our daily devotions straight to your phone, laptop, computer by connecting to Pastor Keith’s devotionals written each day for your encouragement. Don’t miss the opportunity to pray here at CCSH either pre-service Sunday mornings in classroom #1, Wednesday night at 7:00 pm, or being connected to our 24/7 prayer line via SMS. Let us continue to grow together in prayer as the body of Christ here at Secret Harbour. If you need prayer or counselling, see our pastors at the front of the sanctuary directly after the service. If you would like to become a Christian today and receive a free Bible, please speak to one of our ushers.
From the Pastor’s Desk – We have in our bodies what is known as involuntary muscles such as our heart and our lungs. Ultimately our lives are in God’s hands; even the next breath you take is a gift from Him. If God were to withdraw His hand from you, your life would end – Act 17:28 for in Him we live and move and have our being..What difference should this make? First, it should remind us of our dependence on God. All too often, we assume that our lives and our future are in our hands. The prophet Daniel, on the last night of King Belshazzar’s life in Babylon, after God had written a message on a wall about the king’s life falling short of what God expected of him, Daniel said to the king, Dan 5:23 “And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven…. and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified. Our lives are in God’s hands! Each day is a gift from God – a blessing to be used wisely, joyfully, and for His glory. Ecc 8:8 No one has power over the wind to contain it, And no one has power in the day of his death.
Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us remember that God was unsparing in His giving Proverbs 3:9 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. 10 Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine..
Please be in prayer for – Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji –and for the Churches in Afghanistan
