Daily devotion – Monday 23rd August 2021
You are my hiding place….I hope in Your Word – Psalm 119:114
Many things change but I am so glad that God’s Word never changes. Jesus said – Matthew 5:18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.
Jesus also went on to say –Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
This is not because God is inflexible or insensitive but it is because God knows what is best for us. God knows how we work, how we function, and He knows the pitfalls and dangers we each face. If God did not love us, He would not try to guide us and help us onto the right path.
Thankfully He does!
Only God’s Word can guide us through to avoid moral and spiritual danger and lead us to the right path.
The Psalmist wrote –Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. 130 -The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.
This week let God’s Word shape and guide you – know that God loves you too much to leave you in the dark!
