It’s a question that has been asked often to many in the Church. What is the unforgivable sin?
Often the person asking the question is wondering whether they have done just that.
Jesus said, Mark 3:28 “Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; 29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness but is subject to eternal condemnation.”
There is only one exception: the person who deliberately rejects the Holy Spirit’s witness that Jesus is the Saviour, sent from Heaven to save us from our sins.
The only sin God cannot forgive is the sin of rejecting Christ.
Now let us look at the positive of this statement. It means that everything else, every other sin, if I turn to Christ and repent, – He will forgive!
