This Week at CCSH – Calvary Women – your Tuesday morning Bible study is on this week. Don’t miss it and invite a friend to join you for a time of God’s Word, prayer and encouragement with other women. Next Sunday after the morning service, CCSH is inviting you to have lunch with us. Put it in your calendar. It is just 54 days until our special Christmas Eve service here at CCSH. Now is a good time to be praying for family and friends you can invite to join with you on this blessed evening. Next Sunday we will be having another message on the words of Jesus from the Cross – Jesus who created the heaven and the earth, He who divided the waters from the waters on the second day of creation, cries out from Calvary’s Cross – “I Thirst!” we also will be celebrating holy communion together. Calvary Young Adults gathered last night – if you would like to be part of the next get together, please see Pastor Marlon or Hannah Le Chat. Please join with the other prayer servants before every morning service in classroom #1. Your praying makes a difference. Men, would you like to be part of the ushering team – please fill in a Connection Card which is available from our information desk and place it in the offering container with your details.
Helen’s Heart – Jesus was moved with compassion toward them because they were as sheep without a shepherd – Mark 6:34 I love the 23rd Psalm…it opens with The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want..He is the Shepherd who is Almighty Creator who holds the universe in His hand, but He is also the good Shepherd who gave His life for His sheep! With such care and safety, our part is to trust and follow. He chooses for us the safe path, He plans our future, He provides for us. Abandon yourself into His care and do not doubt nor question and you shall not want for any good thing!
From the Pastor’s Desk -The very best reason to give your life to Jesus Christ is because you need Him. You need Him every day of the life you are living right now. And you need Him for the life that is yet to come when you leave this world. The devil with all his lies promised to give you happiness and peace by living according to this world’s values and agendas. But has he kept his promise? No, not at all. Our world is collapsing around us in a violent immoral heap. The devil also promises that you need not worry about what will happened to you when you die – which is another lie. But Jesus Christ said, I am the Way the Truth and the Life…and He does not lie. You can depend on His promises – and the greatest promise of all is God’s promise of new life in Christ. You belong to your father, the devil….he is a liar and the father of lies – John 8:4
“Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.” – Billy Graham
Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Proverbs 11: There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. 25 The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.
Once the service has commenced, we ask that you please limit moving or having to leave your seats- the ushers will assist you, should you need to leave your seat, to return to a one located to the rear of the sanctuary to not distract others – thank you for your assistance in this matter.
