Calvary Women – young and old– sign-up sheet in the foyer for your coming End of Year Celebration – 10th December Friday here at the chapel from 7-9pm. Don’t forget your Christmas gift ($10-$15) so that everyone can receive an additional blessing. Baptism – If you wish to be baptized, please add your name to the Baptism sheet at the information desk. This group will have a baptism class prior to this blessed service. For further information please see Sheldon Loader. As we draw closer to Christmas, we encourage you to join us here Wed. 7:00pm for prayer for your families this Christmas season. Each and every family will be blessed if we seek God and bring them by prayer into His presence with our prayers.
From the Pastor’s Desk Whenever we sit down for a meal, let us not forget that at least half of the world goes to bed hungry. When we enjoy the comfort of our home, let us not forget that millions have no home to go to. As we drive in our car, let us not forget that many people in the world cannot afford even a bike. Whenever we go to Church to thank God for our material and spiritual blessings, let us also remember that millions have never heard the Gospel, the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. May our gratitude find expression in our prayers, in our worship and in our service for others, and in our commitment to live wholly for Jesus. Take a moment today and close off all the noise around you and give thanks to our amazing Lord. His love for us and His blessing to us we should never take for granted. Could it be that our eternal life, our living in Heaven with our Lord, will allow each of us truly to thank Him personally for all that He has done for us. Eternal life will give us time to thank Hi m for every blessing! I look forward to be able to say thank you Lord, face to face – won’t you?
Helen’s Heart – For as he thinks within himself, so is he…Proverbs 23:7 Many things can depress us, disappointment, illness, even the weather. All our encounters in life have a mixture of good and bad so it is not the circumstances in which we are placed but the manner in which we meet them, that makes for our comfort. We can forget that God is not only a comfort in our lives but a joy. We are meant to enjoy Him and His pleasures forever (Psalm 16:11) and think on our many blessings – we are chosen, adopted, redeemed, we have an inheritance and sealed with the Holy Spirit. Bless the Lord!
Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving 2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
Once the service has commenced, we ask that you please limit moving or having to leave your seats- the ushers will assist you, should you need to leave your seat, to return to a one located to the rear of the sanctuary to not distract others – thank you for your assistance in this matter.
