Daily devotion – Born again!
Billy Graham was asked, “Why do you preach so often that you must be born again?” His reply was simple and to the point. He said because Jesus said, “You must be born again!”
Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. – John 3:3
We can’t explain fully explain the amazing mystery of physical birth, the creation of a living soul by God, but we accept its wonder, and we accept the fact of the gift of a new life.
What is it then, that keeps us from accepting the reality and wonder of spiritual rebirth – of being “born again”? To those who have experienced it or seen it happen in others, it is just as real as physical birth.
As surely as God implants the life cell in the tiny seed that produces the mighty gum tree..as surely as He instils the heartbeat in the life of the tiny boy or girl yet unborn…as surely as He puts motion into the planets, the stars and heavenly bodies – so He implants His divine life in the hearts of those who come seeking Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
There is no conjecture in this matter – it is fact! But the big question is has it happened in your life?
If not, you are not only unable to enter the kingdom of God but you are also cheating yourself out of the greatest blessing of having a living relationship with Almighty God.
Today you can change this by a simple prayer – ask Jesus Christ into your life right now where you are at. Stop and seek Him and He will come in and you too will be born again!
