Daily devotion – Cleo found!
1Ch 16:34 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever
What wonderful news we all woke to this Wednesday morning hearing that little Cleo Smith had been found safe. We as a Church have been praying continually for little Cleo and our police officers involved in the case.
Now that she has been found, Wednesday nights prayer meeting takes on a completely different slant. We will instead of praying for her to be found, we will give thanks to our wonderful God for all that He has done, in returning little Cleo to her family.
An event like this brings an important reminder to us all how much we need to thank God for His wonderful blessings and constant love for us. The Apostle Paul tells us that in the Last Days one of the signs of the perilous times that will be seen in that our society will be an ungrateful and unthankful people.
2 Timothy 3:1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy…
You will remember in the Gospel of Luke Jesus healing 10 lepers yet only one man, a Samaritan, took the time to come back and thank Jesus for his healing.
Think for a moment how much you have in your own life to be thankful to God for. Have you taken the time; do you take time to give thanks to Him?
That little girl who was lost has now been found. We have much to thank God for do we not?
