“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” – James 5:16
The great preacher John Knox was a man of great prayer. It is said that Queen Mary feared the prayers of John Knox more than she feared all the armies of Scotland.
John Wesley prayed, and revival came to England. Jonathan Edwards prayed, and revival broke out through the American colonies. History has been changed time after time because of prayer. History could change once again of God’s people went to their knees in believing prayer.
God still and will always work through the prayers of His people. The impact that Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour has in God’s kingdom will be predicated on our capacity to pray. When we pray, God’s power is released through His Church.
When we do not pray, God will look for someone else who He can use to see His will done as He has been planned it to be.
The western Church still lacks power due to its lack of prayer whilst persecuted and outlawed Churches thrive and grow, no matter their suffering, because prayer to them is their very life’s existence.
Want to see God move in your life, in your marriage, in your children, in your Church?
Become a person of prayer and let your position on every trial and storm that sweeps across your life, be that of you on your knees in prayer!
