If you would like to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour today, please see one of our pastors and we will pray with you and provide you with a new Bible. The three books you need to be studying to keep step with our CCSH’s current teaching are Joshua, Hebrews, and Revelation. Next week we will be having a Sunday School graduation ceremony, as we welcome into the main sanctuary our youngest saints. Please keep our future building extension plans in your prayers and also help us to keep in step with the WA Govt. Covid regulations regarding the wearing of masks – thank you.
From the Pastor’s Desk One cannot watch television for a moment without seeing an advertisement of eating right, exercising regularly and sleeping adequately – all good in and of themselves for a physically healthy life. And the Bible tells us we should take care of the body He has given each of us. The Bible also says, “Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit…therefore honour God with your body.” – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. BUT, we can give too much attention to our bodies and almost worship them by giving them the amount of attention that only God deserves. We can focus on our physical health so much that we can ignore the health of our soul. Paul wrote, 1Ti 4:8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. Which are you today? Check out how much time, energy, thinking that you are giving to your body and health needs compared to your soul. Where do most of your thoughts and passion lay? Gravity and age will win out in the end physically but let us ensure our soul is well nourished and strong in its worship and service of the Lord.
Helen’s Heart – We desire to make a difference – the world would swallow us up into obscurity. Sometimes we have to look long and had to find someone with the courage to stand alone for God. We have been caught up in the language and practice of tolerance and compromise. Ezekiel’s word from the Lord, in a time where the people of the land lived corruptly, was “I searched for a man among them who would…stand in the gap.” Ezek 22:30 Will you make a difference, will you be courageous and make stand today?
