CCSH baptism service next Sunday the 6th of February at 1:30 pm at Secret Harbour beach. If you missed last Sunday’s baptism class for all those being baptized, please see Sheldon Loader for further information. This morning we have a blessed baby dedication and Sunday School graduation! Please keep our future building extension plans in your prayers and also help us to keep in step with the WA Govt. Covid regulations regarding the wearing of masks – thank you. This Wednesday night, we will be praying here at the chapel and teaching through Joshua 6 – the mighty battle of Jericho! All services are live streamed. You can also follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Would you like to serve here at CCSH, see one of the pastors as to how you can become part of the servant team and what is required. Don’t forget you are invited to join us as we prayer before the morning service.
From the Pastor’s Desk Do not put your will above God’s will. Do not insist on your way. Do not dictate to God. We are to learn to pray like Jesus prayed at Gethsemane – “Not my will but Thine, be done.” Luke 22:42 We have learned to harness the power of the atom and the power of technology. But we have not – nor will ever – learn how to harness the power of sin without God’s help. We have not yet learned that people can be more powerful on their knees than behind the most powerful weapon made by man. Prayer has eternal value. We will never know the full glory of our prayers until we are in the presence of the One who answers them! Ask and keep on asking…
Helen’s Heart – Then I was at His side I was filled with delight day after day rejoicing always in His presence rejoicing in His whole world and delighting in mankind Proverbs 8:30, 31. Wisdom: we all want to make wise decisions and sound judgement. True wisdom though brings us inner richness and divine favour that is according to Proverbs 8:19. Our aim should not be in seeking success but discerning and forming the right relationships. The pinnacle of wisdom is to love God for who He is and to value human beings as those who reflect the image of our maker. Just as God delighted in the world He made and in us may you rejoice in His beauty this week.
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji – Please pray – for land to build a church building. – for a sound system for new outreach and for the Lord’s protection upon Pastor Charles’s family.
Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.
“Remember, you are not a tree, that can live or stand alone. You are only a branch. And it is only while you abide in Christ, as the branch in the vine, that you will flourish or even live.” Robert Murray M’Cheyne
Once the service has commenced, we ask that you please limit moving or having to leave your seats- the ushers will assist you, should you need to leave your seat, to return to a one located to the rear of the sanctuary to not distract others – thank you!
