It’s another blessed opportunity for you to gather with the Body of Christ, His Church, to worship the Lord and to study God’s precious Word. Pastor Israel will be teaching his series on the Life of Faith from Hebrews 11. Ladies, Tuesday morning at 9:30 am here at the chapel, the Calvary Women’s Bible study commences for 2022. Invite a friend to join you for a time of fellowship, study and encouragement with other godly women. From the Pastor’s Desk Achan, in Joshua 7 was a dissatisfied man. He was dissatisfied with the way God was running his life. Achan is a warning to all of us to be beware of dissatisfaction poisoning our walk with God. God was in the process of leading Achan, along with the other members of the nation of Israel into a new land of great wealth and opportunity. A land where each family would have their own land, own their own house and plant fruit trees. But Achan’s mind was not on the blessings that lay ahead. He was thinking of what he desired right there and then! He had enough of his current life. He set about changing things come what may. Achan’s dissatisfaction led to sin and gave birth to disobedience. Knowing it was wrong, knowing it was stealing from God, he still went ahead thinking no one would know he had stolen the beautiful Babylonian robe, 200 shekels of silver and a wedge of gold and hid it in his tent. When Achan sinned, the blessing of God stopped for all of Israel! The Bible tells us, Numbers 32:23 – you may be sure that your sin will find you out. It is always tragic when we seek to think we know better, that we have a more profitable way, because in reality whenever we follow our path instead of the Lord’s we end up with second best. When dissatisfaction rules our life, sin finds itself a home and brings with it shame, hurt and death! Remember the Lord is our Shepherd and He is going to lead us to the greenest pastures, the purest waters, and our cups will overflow!

Helen’s Heart – Ladies we want to invite you out for our first Women’s Bible study this Tuesday 8th February here at the Church. We will be studying the Book of Acts and looking at how the Church, filled with the Holy Spirit reached a lost world. Set your calendars and invite a friend to join with you and the other women here at CCSH.
