Wednesday 7:00 pm – Prayer vigil for the War in Ukraine

Coming Events ––This coming Wednesday we will be having a prayer vigil for the Church and people of Ukraine. The world powers have not given any assistance as Ukraine seeks to hold off the invading Russian forces. But we as a Church can pray and call on God’s power and might to intervene and help this nation in crisis and our brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray that you set aside time Wednesday to join us for this hour of prayer as we lift up the nation of Ukraine together. New Covid restrictions are with us today and the number of chairs within the sanctuary has been reduced to meet the government requirements. Chairs have been made available outside in the patio area to assist in this matter. Parents don’t forget to teach and assist your children in their Sunday school giving as they learn to follow the Bible’s instructions on grace giving. This morning we celebrate a blessed baby dedication – please keep this little one in your prayers. Today after the morning service we will be praying for anyone who would like to receive Christ as their Lord and Saviour, for those who would like to rededicate their lives back to Christ and for those who would like prayer for the courage to share the Gospel in their daily lives – please make your way to the front of the sanctuary at the close of service and we will pray for you and with you.

From the Pastor’s Desk Helen and I have both been struggling and praying for the people and families of Ukraineas we have watched their plight. We see the weakness of our world to come to their aid in any real manner other than making sanctions. Sanctions provide little comfort to those cowering in underground shelters whilst Russian troops, tanks, helicopters, and jets move above them in the streets and sky of Ukraine. But as Christians we know the enormous power of prayer when God’s people gather to call upon the Lord in times like now. This is more than a military conflict. This is a spiritual battle of enormous consequences. Most of us have not experienced war in our lives but right now in Europe we are on the verge of what could lead to WW3 quite easily. Jesus taught His disciples on the Mount of Olives that such times and events would occur in the Last Days. You and I are living in those very times right now. And prayer is the sign of a people who know and trust in their God! The time for selfish lifestyle indulgence is certainly over if you are a follower of Jesus Christ. The Church is continuing to be refined and those who are His true followers as John says – 1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. It’s decision time. It’s not play time or me time. It’s battle time. I pray that you are a follower of Christ today and that you are living a life that reveals that.

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Keep this blessed Church and God’s work in Fiji in your prayers.

Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

Once the service has commenced, we ask that you please limit moving or having to leave your seats- the ushers will assist you, should you need to leave your seat, to return to a one located to the rear of the sanctuary so not distract others – thank you!
