Daily devotion – prayer support

Pastor Keith   -

How often Paul would write in the first sentences of his letters to the Churches of his continued prayer for each of them.

“ I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy…..” Philippians 1:3.

How these words from Paul read out at Philippi must have strengthened the Church there. Knowing that Paul was always praying for them in every prayer!

This Wednesday we gather as Christ’s Church to pray and intercede for the Church and people of Ukraine and Russia. Our aim is for them to read our tweets that we are praying for them, to know that Christ’s Church around the world is with them.

Word is getting through to Ukraine of people praying for them at this time and and how we are gathering to call on God to protect and watch over them.

The greatest weapon against Putin’s plans and his army is the Church of Jesus Christ praying. We only have to read through the pages of Scripture to know this and to trust in God answering our prayers for Ukraine’s situation.

Our task is to keep Ukraine constantly before the Lord and this we can do as individuals, as couples, as families and as His Church. Will you this week become like Paul and pray always for Ukraine always remembering them in your prayers.

Then let us see the power of God in this situation move and know it’s because of the Church praying!

“Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers….” Ephesians 1:15.

Now is the time to live out out Christianity each day by being people of prayer.
