Coming Events –– Today before service, you are all welcome to join us for prayer in classroom #1. This is where the Lord lays the foundation for every service. Wednesday you are invited to be like the Church in the book of Acts that gathered to pray for the matters of urgency of the day. The genocide in Ukraine is a prayer matter like we have never experienced this side of WW2 – its God telling us the time is short and He is calling the Church to prayer. If you have received Christ as your Lord and Saviour and call CCSH your home, we encourage you to therefore be part of our blessed servant team and bring a blessing to Christ’s people in CCSH. It’s just 36 days until Easter so be praying for who you can invite out for our Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday services.
From the Pastor’s Desk The situation in the Ukraine grows more dire each day with 1.6 million refugees and tremendous civilian casualties. A 2018 survey of Ukraine found 71.7 per cent of the population declared themselves as believers, with 67 per cent adhering to one or other strand of Orthodox Christianity. This is not just a political battle, remember this is a spiritual struggle, with Putin seeking to wreak havoc on the Church of Jesus Christ in Ukraine. To bring its people back under a communist atheistic rule. Therefore, when you pray it makes a difference and the invading forces of Russia are affected. I spoke to CCSH Youth on Friday briefly of the war in Ukraine and all the youth are well aware of the conflict and how troubling it is to them personally. I said that just like this small group of kids gathered, in Ukraine, children of the same age are gathered, but away from their parents who are fighting on the front line and above their heads Russian missiles and rockets are continually landing. Russia is a powerful military nation…but the Bible tells us…. 2Co 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, Our brothers and sisters in Ukraine are depending upon us to pray for them – 2Ti 2:4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. Let us as a Church go to battle on our knees and see God bring a victory!
Helen’s Heart – I wait for the Lord…and in His Word do I hope..We can have zeal in the work of the Church and faithfulness in preaching and conversation with people but we must have as its undercarriage ceaseless prayer which has attached, the sure promise of power from on high. When we call upon those things which glorify the name of God then the promises of the Bible will be fulfilled. Then we shall see answers to prayer that we never thought possible. Call unto Me and I will answer thee…Jeremiah 33:3
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Pray that God will build His Church in Nasinu. Pray for an outpouring of God’s Spirit upon His people and that His Word will be made known in Fiji! For God to open the door that we may visit and encourage His work there.

There is one who scatters yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. Proverbs 11:24
