Sun 6:00 pm – What Christ Thinks of the Church/Ps Marlon
Wednesday 7:00 pm – Prayer for Ukraine

Coming Events ––The events in Ukraine continue to break our hearts as Russian troops are now forcing civilian evacuees (400,000) into Russia. They are then placed in internment camps, transported to cities a great distance away from their homeland and forced to take up residence. We here at CCSH will continue to be resolute in our prayers for the people of Ukraine. We pray that you will join us in this ministry until we see peace in the land. Please be sure to take some Easter Invitation cards with you to give to family members, to mail to friends and to hand out to as many people as you can in your everyday actions. It’s just 22 days until Easter, so be praying for who you can invite out for our Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday services. If you would like to serve over the Easter period please see any of the Pastors for details on the additional needs we will have during Easter. We are praying for the salvation of lost souls over the Easter period. You can receive this bulletin electronically along with Ps Keith’s devotions by going to our webpage ccsh.com.au and following the instructions to have these come directly to you.

From the Pastor’s Desk He said, “Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations?’ But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’” Mark 11:17 As soon as Jesus entered Jerusalem He headed to the Temple and “looked around at everything.” V11. The business of money changers related to the half-shekel temple tax and to the merchants who were selling cattle and sheep for the sacrifices. This lucrative business had become a monopoly in the hands of the high priests and had led to the gross exploitation of poor pilgrims. It had turned God’s house of prayer into a den of thieves, as Jesus said, quoting from Isaiah and Jeremiah. So, Jesus made a whip of cords, to be used in the clearing of the animals. In addition, Jesus overturned the tables used by the money changers and vendors of doves. He also prevented people from carrying merchandise through the Temple courts. Church is to be a House of Prayer, not a marketplace. The Christ who rode into Jerusalem in humility, and who wept over the city on account of its wilful blindness, now brandishes a whip, a symbol of judgment. It is only after we have seen the tears in His eyes that we are ready to see the whip in His hand. May we be a people of prayer and not an adhoc gathering of consumers as we draw closer to Christ coming again. Let us ensure that CCSH is always a place where every deed and every action is to glorify and honour the Lord God Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth!

Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. There is one who scatters yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. Proverbs 11:24
Love is demonstrated when that person prays for the other….

Once the service has commenced, we ask that you please limit moving or having to leave your seats- the ushers will assist you, should you need to leave your seat, to return to a one located to the rear of the sanctuary so not distract others – thank you!
