Daily devotion – arms lifted up..

Pastor Keith   -

Russian troops have seized Europe’s largest nuclear power plant after it was shelled overnight, sparking a fire but no release of radioactive material, the UN’s atomic watchdog has said.

The attack on the southeastern city of Enerhodar and its Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant unfolded as the invasion entered its second week – drawing fears of a nuclear disaster for all of Europe and immediate condemnation from world leaders.

The nuclear plant is now in Russian military hands.

Putin shows no regard to the people of Europe in planning this attack that could have led to radiation blanketing  Europe.

Now over a million refugees have made their way out of Ukraine.

What has been done to counter this flagrant assault that could have jeopardized all of Europe?

Nothing…just words…more sanctions. Do you think that Putin went into this well-planned invasion and genocide of Ukraine without taking into account how the west would ‘sanction’ him? He knew exactly the outcome!

I heard today that the United Kingdom alone pays Russia in English pounds per day 6.3 million for gas.

China in trade with Russia alone spent $127 billion dollars in 2021.

Russia has money still pouring in to fund its military!

Still the western nations will not declare the air space over Ukraine a no fly zone.

Let us not grow weary in well doing….let us not drop our arms as the war rages in Ukraine like Moses in his battle with the Amalekites…. Exodus 17:8 While the people of Israel were still at Rephidim, the warriors of Amalek attacked them. 9 Moses commanded Joshua, “Choose some men to go out and fight the army of Amalek for us. Tomorrow, I will stand at the top of the hill, holding the staff of God in my hand.”
10 So Joshua did what Moses had commanded and fought the army of Amalek. Meanwhile, Moses, Aaron, and Hur climbed to the top of a nearby hill. 11 As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage. 12 Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset. 13 As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle.

Remember this battle is the Lord’s and it is more than tanks and missiles.

Let us pray and call upon God in all His might and power to turn this attack on Ukraine around.
