Daily devotion – Do you know Him?
Have you experienced the love of Jesus Christ personally? Many people know about Christ, attend Church, try to behave themselves through the week, but do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.
Jesus said there would come a time on His returning to our world to set up His kingdom in Jerusalem – a kingdom with no end!
But there would be people who would come to Him and sadly He would say these words to them – Matthew 7: 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
Each week I make a call on Sunday after the service inviting anyone who does not know Jesus Christ the opportunity to come forward and give their life to Jesus Christ. Many times, no one steps forward, but I know deep within my heart that there are people sitting before me, who have listened to God’s Word being taught, and the Holy Spirit has spoken directly to them, but they do not ‘know’ Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. They do not have the Spirit of God residing in them and are not born again.
They believe that they are Christians but they according to Jesus Words are unknown to Christ!
My question to you today is, are you born again? Does it matter you may be thinking?
Hear Jesus Words again – John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Jesus Christ came to save the lost and like the Philippian jailer there is something you need to do to be saved!
Confess you are a sinner, ask God to forgive you of your sins, surrender your life to Him and then commit your life to serving Him as your Lord and Saviour.
Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Do you know Him? Does Christ know you?
Make sure of your salvation right now and give your life to Christ and He will come into your life, He will change your heart, and you will be born again – to live a new life to God’s glory.
Don’t delay the most important decision in your life – you don’t want Christ to say to you – depart from Me for I never knew you!
