Daily devotion – soon!

Pastor Keith   -

The pieces are in place and the table is set. As you view the world political system today, it paints a picture of weak leadership in the west whilst China, Russia and North Korea daily strut their disdain for any who would challenge or criticise them with absolute arrogance.

The Covid pandemic continues to cause massive political unrest due to the poor management of it by governments along with continued confusing regulations – masks are on, masks are off, vaccination 1, 2, 3 and possibly more. Businesses are going bankrupt due to Covid restrictions, people have been unable to be with family for years and now petrol is going to cost you half your salary.

The Prime Ministers of England, France and Canada are walking on broken glass politically and the President of the United States is struggling with names and places literally.

Meanwhile Ukraine fights for its literal survival as everyone else watches on as if War had now become another TV reality show – but in this tragic scene, innocent people are being slaughtered and no-one has stepped in to intervene physically.

In the Book of Revelation, after the Church of Jesus Christ has been raptured, a political leader steps onto the world scene like no other before him. The Bible calls him, the first rider of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse – he is on a Whitehorse – Revelation 6: 1 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” 2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

He is also called by another name – the antichrist.

The prophet Daniel speaks of him in detail in his prophecy.

Around the world in most countries now there exists a great distrust of government and their leaders. The Bible tells us that this man – the antichrist – when he comes on to the world scene, he will sweep the world off its feet in such a way that people will worship him. Such will be his power, his oratory skills and his military might that nations will actually surrender their sovereignty willingly over to him to give him complete rule over their nation. His rule will seem amazing in the early days but his brutality and evil will be unleashed on the world in such a way that any who refuse him – will be put to death either by starvation or genocide.

We are so close now to his unveiling ….but not yet!

The Church has a job to do and the refining the Church has undergone as a result of the restrictions from Covid will result in smaller more biblical, prayerful, and committed congregations, that will in these Last Days take the Great Commission seriously.

But we are so close now to Paul’s words in 1 Thessalonians 4: 13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Are you ready?
