Coming Events ––.. If you are on the roster for Sunday school teaching, we ask for you to please attend a special meeting on Sunday 5th June directly after the morning service in the older S/S room to discuss a new format for lessons. On that same Sunday we also will be celebrating Communion together. It gives us time to prepare our hearts for this beautiful gathering as we remember Christ. Please use our web page, ccsh.com.au, our YouTube channel, Facebook and Twitter to keep abreast of all that is happening here at CCSH. Parents don’t forget to help the little ones with their Sunday school offering each week. They love being able to give and all that is provided goes to our missionary outreach in Fiji. Please continue to pray for the Churches and people of Ukraine. Especially the Calvary Chapels located there. You can keep up on all the latest information on Ukraine by following the link on our webpage of the Calvary Chapel Magazine. There are always opportunities to serve here at CCSH. Take the step, commit and be faithful to ministering here to the body of Christ and be blessed as well as a blessing.
From the Pastor’s Desk Just a few more days and winter will be here officially here. I see the amazing hand of God in how our world methodically and beautifully weaves in and out of the four seasons. Gen 8:22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night, Shall not cease.” God is control still. But as Christians, we are told that we need to be concerned only about two seasons and I am not talking about those of our climate. No, as Christians we have two seasons according to Paul, 2Ti 4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. In other words, we should be diligent in sharing the Gospel of Christ when it is favourable and also when it is not favourable. It is always easy to make excuses why we did not share Christ when we had the opportunity. To quote an old preacher, “We should afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted.” We may not always see immediate results, but we must preach the Word of God. Not simply telling Bible stories. So, this coming winter is a magnificent time for you to take the Gospel with you wherever you go…and share it!
Helen’s Heart– Has He said and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good? Num 23:19
We would much rather ‘see’ our prayers answered and most times we do not have the patience to wait. Jesus said to Thomas (and we doubters who follow Him) Blessed are they who have not seen and yet have believed. O restless heart and prone to worry – trust in Him. Draw ever closer as the doubts come. He who has promised will do it. Our heavenly Father wants to give good things to those who ask Him. So continue to hope and trust in our faithful unchanging God.
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Pray for God to bless His people in this outreach to the people of Fiji.
Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. There is one who scatters yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. Proverbs 11:24
Once the service has commenced, we ask that you please limit moving or having to leave your seats- the ushers will assist you, should you need to leave your seat, to return to a one located to the rear of the sanctuary so not distract others – thank you!
