Daily devotion – the messengers

Pastor Keith   -

Have you ever shared the Gospel with anyone? That is, you spoke to someone in detail about Jesus Christ coming to earth born of a virgin, crucified for the sins of the world, resurrected on the third day and then ascended into Heaven? The Gospel is the greatest story of love, hope and forgiveness ever told.

Why are we so fearful to share such good news, literally what the word Gospel means, with our love one’s, friends and even strangers? It’s a paradox that we fear people rejecting us when we are sharing with them the love of God and our love for their salvation!

Let’s turn this around, let’s encourage each other every time we meet as His Church, at every moment of fellowship with another believer. Let us ask who we have shared the Gospel with since the last time we met. Let us share our stories of people’s responses and how God gave us wisdom to reach each one we talk to.

We cannot individually save anyone, but we can share the good news of how they can be saved by accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and repenting of their sins before Him.

If we saw someone in need, we would help.
If we saw someone in pain, we would go to their assistance.

Now if we see someone who is lost, let us go to them and help then find The Way….

This is our mission as His Church. This is your mission as His servant.

Let us take the good news, and remember the Gospel is good news, in fact it’s the greatest news, and let us simply share it.

It’s not a lot to ask and it’s a privilege to be able to do.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Let us attempt to share God’s news to someone each and every day….just one person per day and let God do the rest!

Let’s help and encourage each other on this mission and do it together!
