Coming Events –– This morning we have the privilege to gather as the Body of Christ in worship and the study of God’s Word. Just a couple of changes this week to our teaching and today due to illness. But will be back to normal next week. CCSH Youth and Young Adults are back into action. Our third Foundational Bible study class is on this morning on “Prayer”. If you would like to know what you need to do to become a Christian, please see one of the pastors directly after the morning service at the front of the sanctuary. We as a Church have not wavered in holding up the people of Ukraine. Please keep them in your prayers and the Churches there, especially the Calvary Chapels. War is no longer a threat in Europe but a reality. We await to see if China will move on Taiwan as a result of the western world’s lack of opposition to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Calvary ladies, this Tuesday morning study has been postponed until Tuesday the 9th August due to Helen not being well enough. Pastor Keith will resume in Ephesians 5 next Sunday morning.

From the Pastor’s Desk. In the coming weeks, we will be entering Paul’s foundational Scriptures on marriage and the roles and responsibilities of husbands and wives. I will take a couple of Sundays to deal with this crucial matter – what does a Christian marriage look like! Ephesians 5 and 1 Peter 3 are two of the most important places for every Christian husband and wife to know and study. It is through these passages that we draw attention to all couples in their preparation for marriage. In both Scriptures, the Christian husband’s emphasis is on ministering to his wife and helping beautify her in the Lord.
In comparison, a Christian wife must encourage her husband and help him grow strong in the Lord. The two problems that arise result from the wife restricting her husband from serving the Lord as they mature in their walk. Some hold their husbands back as he grows in his walk with God. The other tragedy is the frustrated Christian wife whose Christian husband does not lead spiritually in the home or church—causing heartache and marriages to crumble because of these two failures. I encourage all married couples, especially the husbands, to study these two passages and apply them in their homes. Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Please continue to pray for the Lord to guide us on visiting the Church in Nasinu now that air travel has commenced again. Please keep this small home fellowship in your prayers as they teach the Word of God so needed in Fiji!

Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. Matthew 6:21 – For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
