Daily devotion – bad things
We all wish that every day was one that we woke to with no problems and no pain. But without us chasing it, bad things can happen to us. The heart of the matter frankly is that we don’t know why God allows such things to happen to us.
But we are to never let pain or sorrow be wasted when we sail though their waters. For even in such times God can use them to teach us and make us more into the image of His Son.
Storms, trials, disappointments and tragedies all can teach us in turn to trust in God for the hope and comfort we need.
These experiences can also teach us patience and make us open our eyes to those around us who too are suffering!
Today are you passing through a difficult time? Ask God to use it and not waste one ounce of it to grow your faith and make you more like the vessel He desires to shape you into.
Romans 5:3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
