Daily devotion – new each day!
The beauty and majesty of walking with God can never be measured. Each new day as the sun rises, so too the Bible tells us, Lamentations 3: 22 The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. 24 I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”
Everything that this world has to offer will eventually wear out, rust, decay and return back to the dust it is made of.
But our walk with Christ, our relationship with Him, His love and care for us – never end, they never cease and they are new every day. Literally every morning.
We do go through dry periods; we have days when we stumble and fail Him. But He is faithful… 1Jo 1:9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
Not many have the opportunity of having something new. A new car, a new home, new clothes or shoes. But every believer, each one of us, every day, God’s mercies to us are new and fresh! This is a relationship that is like no other.
When you wake each new day, take a moment to pause and realize that God’s mercies, His faithful love, are fresh waiting for you to enjoy that day once again.
