Helen’s Heart – Matthew 5:13-16 You are the salt of the earth…you are the light of the world…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven. In our hardened society we do have to be discerning about inviting anyone into our home. Our Lord taught us the consequence of not helping the needy when He said, In as much as you have done it not to the least of these, my brethren, you have done it not unto me. The lesson is that He may come to us in many forms and as the salt and the light we can show His love to others. Be a blessing to someone this week!

From the Pastor’s Desk – Major military escalations continue to increase as the U.S. Speaker of the House, Ms Pelosi visited Taiwan. China had made threats to shoot down the plane carrying Ms Pelosi prior to her visit. Now, China has commenced 5 days of military exercise around the seas of Taiwan utilising live ammunition. All these events, along with Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine show our world is at straining point. The effect of such events worldwide has seen nation after nation, including those in Europe and our own nation Australia, commence massive investment in military spending. Meanwhile the world financially continues to tip toe its way around a recession or possibly another global financial crisis as a result of the of the conflicts and tensions militarily. Throw in a dash of wildfires and floods with extreme temperatures and one might be anxious. However, as followers of Christ, we have nothing to fear or be anxious about. Instead, we need to be seeing each of these outcomes as those predicted by God’s Word as we live in the Last Days, prior to Christ’s soon return. If you find yourself fretting or fearful, I encourage you to turn to God’s Word and see that God told us of these events that would come and that He is in complete control. How wonderful it is, that in spite of the world’s current turmoil, God’s peace remains within our hearts as we know the end of all these things! Be encouraged to take your family through the book of Revelation as a home study and it will be like you are reading todays’ newspaper articles though written many years ago by John on the island of Patmos!

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Ps Charles and the fellowship is continuing to see more opportunities open up for Bible studies. Please continue to pray for God’s Word to be taught in Fiji.

Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. Matthew 6:21 – For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
