Sun 6:00 pm – 1Samuel – Ps Israel teaching
Wednesday 7:00 pm – Prayer Night & Zechariah

Coming Events –– Operation Christmas Child kicks off today – run by Samaritan’s Purse. Closing the end of this term – Sunday 25th September. Time to order your boxes and plan a blessing for a child this Christmas. Please be sure to update your prayer cards as we will be renewing our current prayer requests to ensure they are fresh and new. We are working towards having our front patio fitted with weatherproof blinds. The new posts required to fit them have already been affixed. This will make our patio area a far more functional space to be utilised. New Connection cards have been designed and will soon be available. Remember our aim is to see everyone who considers CCSH their home fellowship serving in some capacity. Next Sunday, Ps Keith will be teaching a special message, “God Speaks to Kids” so we encourage you not to miss this message on how to raise children as God intended. Don’t forget to join with us tonight and Wednesday as we gather to give God the glory due His name!

Helen’s Heart – He has put a new song in my mouth – praise to our God. Many will see it and fear and will trust in the Lord. Psalm 40:3. To a lot of rhetorical questions there are biblical answers. For instance – “What’s new?” In Lamentations 3:23 tells of God’s mercies are ‘new every morning.’ Like David the psalmist, we can have ‘a new song’ from the Lord – Psalm 40:3. ‘We have a new heart and a new spirit.’ – Ezekiel 36:26 -when we received Jesus as our Saviour. So perhaps next time you are asked, “What’s new?”, you can answer with the biblical and share your hope and joy.

From the Pastor’s Desk – I remember working to learn to be a livestock buyer at one time. It required having to learn how to handle cattle, sheep and goats and learn all their breeds as well. One time we had a pen of lambs, and one was laying down not well, and as sheep often do, they give in very quickly when they fall sick. But a learned colleague I was working with knew of a treatment that sometimes works wonders. We filled a large hypodermic needle with glucose, and I injected it in the listless lamb just under the skin on the inside of one of its hindlegs. Less than a minute later, the lamb jumped to its feet and was good as gold. It was quite amazing! There are times when we are down that we don’t feel like getting up but just giving in. During this week, nothing but bad news continued on our media, and it brought some despair. But the Lord wonderfully spoke to my heart during that time about how He is in control completely. That I am to live with joy and allow myself to meditate on how wonderful His grace is in my life. I felt just like that small lamb – God’s Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit, injected into me a good dose of grace and hope once more. I pray this week that as you draw close to Him, that He too would fill you once more with His miracle cure. His love and grace always amaze me! Eph 5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Please make it a matter of prayer for the board to plan a trip to Nasinu in order to be able to minister God’s Word there and see first-hand how we can encourage the fellowship of believers there.

Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. Matthew 6:21 – For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Please be reminded to remain in your seat, as we attempt to keep moving around to a minimum throughout our service unless called to creche or for other specific personal needs – in order to keep from being a distraction during this precious time with the Lord.
