Coming Events –– We continue our series in Ephesians today and Pastor Marlon reconnects us with the Book of Acts tonight. We will be planning a spring-cleaning session shortly for the Church to catch up on some much-needed odd jobs. It will be on a Saturday morning with a BBQ breakfast as well. Keep watch for this day when you can help spruce and clean around this blessed facility. It will be after the grand final! Serious planning and logistic preparation for Jan 2024 trip to Israel are underway. Time to pray and save! To walk where Jesus walked and to have the Bible come alive forever in your life. Join our 24/7 prayer team – see Marty Le Chat for details. Also join us Wednesday evening for our amazing prayer time together. Come do some heavy lifting for the needs of the Church and the will of God here at CCSH.
From the Pastor’s Desk – Psa 86:5 For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. One of the wonderful truths of the Bible is that it tells us that our lives can be different. It does no matter what your past was filled with. The Bible tells us that God is standing ready to forgive and cleanse us from all of our sin and make us a new person. But it is only Jesus who can do this and bring to us a hope that we don’t deserve or ever had. He makes us ‘born again’ and He gives us a crown of beauty – the beauty of forgiveness, and hope and joy. A life now that has peace. Do you know anyone who is living a shattered life and is barren of joy and hope? Will you now pray for them and ask God to use you to lead them to the One who saved you – Jesus Christ. This is now your mission! “The Lord has anointed me….to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes.” Isaiah 6:1,3.
Helen’s Heart – I will guide thee with mine eye – Psalm 32:8 I would much rather follow someone who knows the way to a place than rely on a map or the GPS. When asking for directions I have had people offer to show the way and all I have had to do was follow…so easy. When God commanded Abraham who obeyed without question – he trusted that God would make it all come out right. In Genesis 22:5 he confidently said to his servants, “I and the lad will go yonder and worship and come again to you.” God rewarded Abraham by revealing His plans for Abraham’s future. We learn from this that as we trust God, He will whisper to us, “This is the way, walk ye in it.” Isaiah 30:21. Look to God for His direction this week.
