Daily devotion – walk with Him
Psa 101:6 My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me;
He who walks in a perfect way, He shall serve me.
The Bible tells us that Noah walked with God. When the flood came, Noah and his family were saved amidst the scorn and rejection of all those who knew him. Walk with God as Moses did in the bareness of the desert when he left Egypt. When the time of judgment fell upon Egypt, Moses led his people to a glorious exodus.
Walk with God as David did as a young shepherd boy. When Israel needed a godly leader to rule them, God called David and he was prepared for the role of a glorious king.
Walk with God as young and old Daniel did along with his three young friends in the palace of Babylon’s fierce king. When the fiery furnace raged, and the lion’s den was set, God was beside them and delivered them all.
God did not always deliver all His saints from adversity and death, nor does He today. But because these each had learned to trust God in the light, they were prepared to follow Him into the darkness as well.
God has not promised to deliver us FROM trouble, but He has promised to go with us THROUGH the trouble…. Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;For You are with me;
This week, walk with Him!
