Next Sunday, we will be celebrating communion together and ask that you prepare your hearts for this blessed time as we remember our Lord and His sacrifice for each of us. A quick update for those considering travelling to the Holy Land 2024 and saving, current airfare costs with Emirates (direct flight) are approx. $2,500. Our Church Spring Clean morning and Breakfast will be on Saturday the 12th November starting at 8:00am. If you are available to serve at either of those times, please give your details to our Deacon Thomas Woodage . Operation Christmas Child – this is the last Sunday for the boxes to be brought in – thank you. 55 days til Christmas!
From the Pastor’s Desk – Are we heading toward a global financial recession? Australia is nearing a trillion dollars in debt. Both the USA and U.K. are in far worse conditions, $31 trillion and $3 trillion respectively. Energy prices are escalating to the point that in the U.K. it is expected that people will not be able to afford to heat their homes this coming winter. In the eastern states of Australia, there is grave concern as energy costs will rise 50% this coming financial year and the fear of potential mass blackouts is looming. The war in Ukraine has driven fuel and gas expenses skyrocketing. These effect every household considerably. Meanwhile, the political compass keeps criminalising all fossil fuels but has no real back up plan to supplement their replacement. Climate change is championed in all and every level of government. Where will all this lead? The world’s financial systems, its energy stores will collapse, and our world will be drawn to the edge of a complete global shutdown. But prior to this, I believe the Church will be raptured, thus opening the door for the new world leader, the antichrist, to step forward on the world political platform. His coming will herald and bring about a ‘spiritual and global political awakening’. He will introduce a one world governing body of which he will be CEO with powers unheard of. He will institute a cashless society worldwide; he will bring ‘peace’ to the middle east crisis which will be both acceptable to Israel and the rest of the world’s political powers. And he will be worshiped as messiah, by both Israel and other world leaders. We are drawing close to this time. Closer than we have ever been! Today, is the day of salvation. Time is short!
Helen’s Heart But You O Lord are a shield about me, my glory and the lifter of my head…I lay down and slept I awakened again for the Lord sustains me Psalm 3:3-5 Lord thank You for protecting our children. May Your angels be around them. May You give them strength and wisdom, guide them and show them Your love. Thank You that You answer our prayer and give the peace so we can rest knowing You watch over our family.
Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Fiji Please keep our brothers and sisters serving in Fiji in your prayers.
Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Our greatest encouragement for giving is that it pleases the Lord. Let us worship Him as we give and remember that God was unsparing in His giving Exo 36:3 And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning. Exo 36:5 and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded us to do.”
