Daily devotion – Is there more?

Jde 1:3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

I remember reading in Church newsletter a piece by the head of that denomination stating that Christians did not have all the truth. That we could learn from other religions!

It was a blasphemous and tragically incorrect statement to say the least and sadly revealed that the author of the article, though a religious clergy man of high rank did not have a knowledge of the Bible or a relationship with Jesus Christ the Son of God.

The question some ask, is the Gospel of Jesus Christ complete? Or do we need something else in addition to what the Bible tells us? It is this premise that Paul deals with beautifully in the Book of Galatians.

Galatians 1: 6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

Jesus Christ is all we need – and the reason is because He alone was the Son of God, sent from Heaven as God’s final sacrifice for our sins.

The cults deny this – but the Bible is clear: Act 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

We thank God for His simple truth and that there is no confusion in His blessed Gospel.

Jhn 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
