Daily devotion – Resurrection!
1Co 15:4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
This week I heard two famous movie stars being interviewed and the subject of discussion was death. More specifically, what happens after some one dies. Both of the stars made the statement that they were not sure what happens after death “ as no one has died and returned from the other side.”
I have heard this statement spoken from many people. People I have witnessed to and worked with. There seems to be an element of enormous blanking out of the most amazing event in all of history of mankind. That being the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave after being crucified and in the grave for three days.
Still more wonderful about this event is that Jesus said He would rise from the grave prior to His death. Why then do people ignore the fact of Christ’s resurrection from the grave. Is is because they deliberately don’t want to accept this due to the then responsibility of believing in Jesus Christ as being a miracle of God? This means that all that Jesus said about Himself is true including that all have sinned and need salvation!
We live in a world that just won’t accept the truth about many things. This the world has had to invent many lies to placate their disbelief and rebellion against God’s truth.
What do you believe? Do you believe that Jesus Christ died and then three days later rose from the grave? If you do, if you accept this fact, what are you doing in regard to what His resurrection means?
God does not allow us to be neutral. He will not accept us saying that the death and resurrection of his Son has no bearing on our lives. Now and for eternity!
So often we are quick to cast aspersions on others when we are in the same boat.
One cannot believe in Jesus miraculous death and resurrection being of no consequence. This week let your life reflect what you believe that Jesus resurrection has impacted your life.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
