Daily devotion – when a burden comes
Psa 55:22 Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
When God places a burden on your heart, I believe it is God allowing you for that time, to sense His heart for those He loves dearly.
We see this passion of Christ’s love for the lost in the Apostles – Peter’s first sermon in the book of Acts…Stephen’s prayer for those who were stoning him to death.
Paul pleading with his fellow Jews to receive Christ as their Messiah!
Sometimes it is like our hearts will break with the load of that particular burden, for those we see suffering or going through a storm in their lives.
This is when the blessing of intercessory prayer allows us to come before God Himself, to lay our hearts out before Him.
This is why God allows us the privilege of bearing His burden. For He has chosen to use us to be His channel, to bring healing, blessing and comfort to others.
This week, if God lays upon you a burden for a brother or sister in Christ, or one outside of Christ, seize the privilege and pray and allow God to use you as the one through Him He seeks to touch another’s heart and life!
