Coming Events ––.We are full steam ahead in our preparing for our Israel tour – don’t miss this blessed opportunity. It will change you; it will change how you see the nation and people of Israel, and it will forever change your reading of the Bible. The sign-up sheet is at the information desk. Costs are approximate now due to the later time of our departure. Calvary Youth is back on the 3rd February, and Calvary Young Adults kicks off in 2023 on the 18th February. We will be having a baptism service in February at Secret Harbour beach so there is still to time to register – Baptism Day – Sun 29th January. Ps Israel and Ps Marlon will recommence their series in 1 Samuel and the book of Acts accordingly, from January 22. Tonight, a special message looking at “The Day After the Rapture!” Parents don’t forget your children love to be able to give in Sunday school.

From the Pastor’s Desk Pro 14:16 A wise man fears and departs from evil, But a fool rages and is self-confident. Because a wise person – fears and departs from evil – and danger, they flee from sin. If we fear the Lord, we will like Job, hate evil. But when our confidence rests solely in ourselves, this is not wise, and we can plunge ahead recklessly. Joshua was self-confident after the walls of Jericho fell. He lost the next battle and men’s lives were lost. Samson was self-confident, he lost his sight and became a prisoner as a result. Peter was self-confident and denied knowing the Lord three times. Paul tells us, “Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall” – 1 Cor 10:12. Foolishness is sin and sin always hurts. It’s pain and sorrow is something we can do without. Let us this week have no confidence in our own capacities but let us have absolute confidence in Christ who can do the impossible!

Helen’s Heart Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you…And the God of grace….will restore you and make you strong. 1 Peter 5:7 What is weighing heavily on you today? God promised not only to help but bear them for us. When we place all our weight on a sofa, we know that it will not collapse under us. So too we can trust God and lean on Him. Give your burdens to the Lord and He will take care of you – Psalm 55:22

Calvary Chapel Nasinu – Ps Charles informs us that things have changed for the better in Fiji with the government. There is freedom and peace. “There is no more fear. Open doors to do ministry in schools, freedom to exercise your faith. Good things are coming up. A lot of things are Open now. No more of no jab no job due to covid. A lot of things are back to normal.”

Grace Giving – We have a container at the left rear of the chapel for your grace-giving, or you can give electronically via the following information. CCSH Account number: 2490144 & BSB: 306089. Deu 14:22“You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year.Deu 14:23 Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the LORD your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the LORD your God.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon was asked, “Which is more important, the Bible or Prayer?” Spurgeon responded, “Which is more important, breathing in or breathing out?”
