Daily devotion – unloading the trouble

Pastor Keith   -

The sign said, “Why pray when you can worry.”

The best medicine for a troubled heart is prayer – “O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear;
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer.

But if God is going to answer our prayer, we are to pray in faith – Jhn 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Believing prayer is wonderful medicine to soothe a troubled heart.

Philippians 4: 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

This week, let us put these words into practice!

Don’t carry around a load you are not built to carry. Let God lift the load off of your shoulders and let Him carry it.

This is what He does for us and He loves being our Heavenly Father.
