Daily devotion – Whom shall I fear….?

Pastor Keith   -

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear – Psalm 27:1

What a powerful and beautiful Scripture this is in God’s Word! Yes, the Lord IS my light and He IS my salvation.

Knowing this, why should I be afraid? He is the Creator of the Universe, the Almighty and all-powerful God. He fears nothing!

The Bible tells us that God is a very present help in trouble – Psalm 46:1

If I cannot trust the all-powerful, all knowing, all-loving God of the universe to help me, where else can I turn?

You can trust Him now in your situation and in your current storm.

He is able, indeed He is anxious, to deliver us from all sorts of trouble. He desires to give us the strength we need to overcome the temptation to sin that separates Him from those He loves. He also desires to give us the courage to confront our problems head on, instead of avoiding them or denying them.

He will give us the wisdom we need to help us deal with whatever we must face.

Today, what do you fear? Is it failure, rejection, an illness, or a physical danger? Whatever it is, ask God to help you turn it over to Him.
