Daily devotion – wisdom for 2023
Pro 5:1 My son, pay attention to my wisdom; Lend your ear to my understanding,
Did you make any foolish decisions last year? As I grow older there is one thing I seek God more and more, that is for me to have His wisdom guiding my life.
Mistakes, dumb decisions, hurt and cost us dearly!
Sadly, many people are the victims of their own bad decisions. We are faced with decisions every day, many turn their back on what is right or what is best and decide instead on what is wrong or what will bring them hurt and damage.
It is only ‘after the horse has bolted’ that we realize that bad decisions always result in bad consequences.
In 2 Chronicles 10:13, King Rehoboam stubbornly rejected the wise counsel of his nations’ elders and instead followed those who told him just what he wanted to hear!
“Then the king…..rejected the advice of the elders…”
As a result, conflict broke out and the nation was divided. The Bible tells us, “Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Galatians 6:7
Your life this year will face many decisions. Some small and some life changing. How will you make the right decisions this year 2023?
Seek God’s will for every decision and do not be in a hurry. God never is! Pray, and seek God’s wisdom in His word. Ask the Holy Spirit for Him to please guide you.
Remember God loves you and His way is always the best!
