From the Pastor’s Desk. What company do you keep? The people you spend time with can either be a blessing, a mission field or a handicap to your faith. Target godly people to spend time with. People whose walk with God will only encourage you in your faith. I personally sought out older saints who could teach me and from which I could learn more to be a faithful follower of Christ. But we also need to mix with non-Christians but with the singular passion of winning them to Jesus Christ by our living Christ before them. Finally, there are just some people you should stay clear away from. People whose aim is to draw you away from Christ, entice you to sin with them and bring disgrace to the kingdom of God. Pro 4:14 Do not enter the path of the wicked, And do not walk in the way of evil. Pro 4:16 For they do not sleep unless they have done evil; And their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall. Parents, your children need your help and wisdom to ensure the company they keep is wise before God.
Helen’s Heart Romans 8:39 Nothing…shall be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ. Jesus our Lord. (Reading Rom 8:35-39). In Romans 8: Paul spells out wonderful comfort concerning separation. In the present, circumstances may bend us, but they cannot rob us of our Lord’s love. He loved them to the end. – John 13:1. And in the future, ‘no things to come’ can separate us from Him. We will be tempted to doubt and feel all alone but we have the promise, ‘Greater is He in you than he that’s of the world.’ So, no-one nor thing can separate us from His love. Amen!

Deu 14:22“You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year.Deu 14:23 Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the LORD your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the LORD your God.
