Daily devotion – An assurance of your salvation
Do you ever have doubts about your salvation? It is an area that Satan attacks us all at times. Especially when we have disobeyed or neglected God.
How do we find that assurance of our salvation?
Firstly, we must claim the promises found in God’s Word. Jhn 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
What did God give to make everlasting life possible? His Son Jesus Christ!
What must you do to possess everlasting life? Believe in Him!
What does God promise you? Everlasting life!
Secondly, the Bible tells us, 1 John 5: 12 Whoever has the Son has life; ……..13 I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.
If you believe in Jesus Christ, what can you know with certainty? I have eternal life?
John 10: 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
What are you promised?
– And I give them …….eternal life!
– And they shall…..never perish!
– Neither shall anyone…….snatch …..them out of My……hand!
– No one is able to…..snatch…..them out of My Father’s……hand!
How do you know you are saved?
You know because:
– You have eternal life – God said it…in His Word!
– You will never perish – I believe it….in my heart!
– You are safe in God’s hand – That settles it….in my mind!
Now what to do knowing and believing this.
Take a firm stand for Jesus Christ; make your life count. Tell someone about your faith in Christ.
Read and study God’s Word…..daily.
Pray every day.
Be faithful in fellowship in the Bible teaching Church for worship, instruction and fellowship and service, where God has placed you
