Deut 8:2 “And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you..
How quickly we forget at times all that the Lord has done for us. The times when He did the miraculous in our lives more than just once!
Jos 1:13 “Remember the word ……. of the LORD..
1Ch 16:12 Remember His marvellous works which He has done..
These are remembrances worth recalling over and over again!
The Lord instructs us to not only remember, but the Bible reveals what God Himself remembers often – “He remembers that we are dust” – Psalm 103:14
To those of us who come before Him with repentant hearts He says, “Their sin I will remember no more” – Jeremiah 31:34.
It gives me great peace to remember that promise, because I have repented of my sin, God chooses to forget my sin.
This reveals the precious heart of He who loves me – my Saviour and My Lord Jesus Christ.
As I pray that I remember all the wonder that God has blessed me with, I also pray in these my later years, that our children and grandchildren too will remember all that their Lord did in our lives!
Heaven will be a wonderful time of catching up with these blessed memories. But this time we will speak of them will crystal clear clarity and they will be as if they had just happened yesterday!
