Daily devotion – walk in faith
Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
It has been said that faith is not believing in spite of evidence; it is obeying in spite of consequences. The proof of faith is always obedience. For true faith always leads to works.
Jas 2:14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?
Hearing leads to heeding.
When you live by faith, you make your decisions on the basis of the Word of God – Rom 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God – and you seek to glorify God alone.
True faith is NOT in a hurry; it is willing to wait – Heb 6:12 …….do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Faith obeys God in spite of circumstances or consequences, and it is not afraid of what OTHERS may say or do!
Hebrews 11:29-32.
This week, live by faith, walk in the confidence that God has your life in His hands!
