Daily devotion – Greatly beloved

Pastor Keith   -

John 17:3 I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.

In Daniel chapter 10, the Jewish exiles had returned to Israel and were now rebuilding the Temple when Daniel had this experience covered in this chapter.

Daniel, such a prayer warrior, had been fasting three weeks and the vision of the angel left him ever more weakened.

Dan 10:8 Therefore I was left alone when I saw this great vision, and no strength remained in me; for my vigor was turned to frailty in me, and I retained no strength.

When one gets serious into prayer there are times that deeper experience that comes with it can bring a physical price.

But I want you to notice with me the wonder of our Heavenly Father with Daniel here in this chapter apart from the amazing information in this vision given to him.

Dan 10:11 And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved……

Dan 10:19 And he said, “O man greatly beloved, fear not!…..

God assures Daniel by telling him that he was a man ….greatly beloved by Him. The Bible tells us that the Father loves us as He loves His Son  – John 17:23.

The Bible also tells us that God wants to share His love with us….

John 14: 21 “Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.

You and I can rest this week in the wonder of the knowledge that we are in the love of God.

Jhn 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

No matter how you feel, the truth of the matter as it was with Daniel is that we each are greatly beloved by our Heavenly Father and He wants us to know this!
