This Week at Calvary – Welcome to Calvary Chapel Secret Harbour today! Don’t forget barista coffee for $3.00 after each service and brewed coffee for $2.00. Several people have offered to serve here at the chapel by cleaning. There is an opportunity after each service Sunday to greatly assist by cleaning. Often servants who have already been in Sunday school or the Coffee shop or some other ministries are found doing this task. If you would like to fill this gap and help share the load, see Noah Carmody for further information. Please note in the infant feeding room that it is restricted to only nursing mothers and their child. See our ushers for further information.
From the Pastors Desk Today as we gather here in the chapel, God gives us another chance to change our lives, to turn from our sins, and to walk with Him in a new way of living. Church is never meant to be just a gathering of people. You can do that at a club or some other location. But on Sunday when God’s people gather, we have come to worship God almighty, in song, in our offerings, and with hearts thankful. In addition, we have come to hear God’s holy Word taught in simplicity and truth. We each are to come with hearts open to hear what the Holy Spirit of God will say to us through His Word. Lastly, we have come to receive prayer and encouragement from other believers, especially when we have suffered. This means we have gathered not with selfish hearts, but with real concern to pray one for another, to help each other as we all seek to love God and serve Him for His glory. Church was never a place you just attended. It was always a place where the people of God rejoice, weep with those who are weeping, and gather to give thanks for He who died on the Cross of Calvary for us. We gather for the glory of God! That’s why we are here today!

I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day. – John 9:4 Not too long ago we would walk in the neighbourhood, go to the shops and people would smile and say hello. Now, due to iPods, iPhones and iDon’t cares; people are more disconnected and disassociated. How ironic, people are being distanced by the very tools called ‘social media’. However, there are still people who don’t want to be calloused, who hope for a better way. Jesus tells us to lift up your eyes and look to the fields for they are white and ready to harvest – John 4:35
Prayer – Join us as we pray each Sunday morning at 9:45 for the Lord’s blessing and protection over all our services and His ministries here at CCSH. As importantly, make a habit of joining with us each Wednesday evening at 7:00pm, after our new series on “Marriage God’s Way”. This week the final – “What God Says to Wives”
