This Week at Calvary –
To all the mothers we wish you a very special blessed Mother’s Day today! There will be no Sunday evening service tonight only, to allow families time to spend with family for Mother’s Day. Parents, just a reminder our aim here at CCSH is to have your kids eventually sitting with you in the sanctuary, Bibles opened, notebooks ready, to study God’s Word alongside you. If your child is ready to move out of Sunday school to join with you let the pastors know so we can pray for them as a Church in their graduation from classroom to sanctuary. Want to serve the Lord? Become part of the prayer group that meets here each Wednesday evening and be the channel of God for the needs of the Church here at CCSH. This is a ministry of the greatest need in every Church, and the reason for God using a Church to see His will done here on earth. Calvary Women – 9:30am this Tuesday here at the Chapel – your morning together in the Word and encouraging each other!
From the Pastors Desk
There remains therefore a rest for the people of God – Hebrews 4:9 We would have to be the most entertained generation in history. We have multiple channels and other subscriptions we can pay for to download and watch from a-z in sport, documentaries, history, music and movies. Homes have multiple TV’s computers, Ipads, let alone each one’s personal phone. You can see little kids walking or scooting to school whilst on their social media. This is a frantic search for something much deeper than simply entertainment. Down inside is an empty space in our hearts – a restlessness, a desire, for inner peace and hope – that will not go away. The irony of all of this is that the more we try to satisfy it, the less content we each become. Only Jesus Christ can fill that void, and He will as we open our lives to Him. But God’s Word also points us to the future – to Heaven, where our restless hearts will be at peace. “There remains, therefore, a rest for the people of God.”
Helen’s Heart
She has done what she could – Mark 14:8 The enemy will tell us that what we do for the Lord is insignificant and counts for nothing. We may not be called for great things in our mind, but we can do the little things; the quiet things; the mundane things – whatever we can. When we do this with an attitude of love and devotion as with Mary of Bethany, God calls it good and that counts for much!
Prayer – Join us as we pray each Sunday morning at 9:45 for the Lord’s blessing and protection over all our services and His ministries here at CCSH. As importantly, make a habit of joining with us each Wednesday evening at 7:00pm, after our new series on “Marriage God’s Way”.
Please pray for our Sunday school teachers who faithfully each week bring the message of the Bible to the smallest of our saints.

Pastor Charles prayer requests for us – Church registration with government of Fiji. Prayer as he teaches Church through Matthew’s Gospel and the importance of giving. Wisdom in finding a bookkeeper. Prayer for young people who have volunteered to assist in ministry.
